I used this vacuum to clean my entire house and it did not disappoint. I on purpose didn’t vacuum for a week (yuck) so I could put it to the test. With a week’s worth of pet hair in the house – which is a lot when you consider I have a shedding dog. The Riccar had no problem vacuuming up the accumulated pet hair. On the carpet, it took one time to vacuum a spot and the pet hair and dirt Sherlock brings in on his paws was gone.
I loved how easy it is to switch from vacuuming the floor to using the hand tool. It was nice that the Riccar would not fall over when using the hose and hand tools. Even if I had the hose stretched out to 10 or more feet from the base. The hose will stretch out for a total of 17 feet so I didn’t have to keep moving the base or lift put the base of the vacuum on a chair so I can clean my cleaning fans. The Riccar comes with a furniture tool which worked really well to get the hair off the couch without needing to go over it several times. It was the quickest I have ever been able to get pet hair off my coach.
I loved the way the Riccar 40 Series made my house smell when I was finished cleaning. It traps odors and cleans the air as you use it.
I took the vacuum out to my car to see how the car tool would do. I hadn’t cleaned my car all winter so there was a lot of dog hair, dirt, etc. You know how bad your cars’ floors and seats can get during the winter in Chico.
The tool did a good job and again was much faster than when I used my Dyson.
