Bidwell Perk Review

Bidwell Perk in Chico, CA is a true paradise for dog owners or anyone who is looking for a comfortable and enjoyable place to relax and hang out with friends. This dog-friendly coffee shop has been in business since 1996 and offers a wide range of specialty coffee drinks, hot chocolate, tea, wine, some breakfast and lunch items, and offers an outdoor seating area for dog owners.

What Makes Bidwell Perk the Perfect Hangout?

If you’re a tea lover like me, you know that there’s nothing quite like a great cup of tea to start your day off on the right foot. And if you happen to be in Chico, California, there’s no better place to get that cup of tea than Bidwell Perk. This charming little café has quickly become my go-to spot for a morning pick-me-up or an afternoon treat, and I’d like to share why. The staff is friendly and always willing to make recommendations or adjustments to your drink.

First of all, the tea selection at Bidwell Perk is truly impressive. Whether you prefer black tea, green tea, herbal tea, or something in between, they have it all. And what’s even better is that they offer unique monthly specials that are always worth checking out. Last month, for example, they had Finnegan’s Fog which was unique and flavorful. This month, May 2023, they’re featuring a blended coconut black tea that is amazing. You’ll want to order a second glass if you love coconut as much as I do.

But tea isn’t the only thing that Bidwell Perk does well. They also have a breakfast menu that’s perfect for those of us who like to start our day with a small snack. My personal favorite is the veggie bagel, which has an egg and some fresh vegetables, and cream cheese. It’s a delicious and satisfying way to fuel up before a busy day. And if you’re not in the mood for a bagel, they also have other options like quiche and oatmeal.

Coffee drinkers are also in luck at Bidwell Perk. They offer an impressive selection of coffee options, from cold brew to pour-overs. If you’re a coffee lover, you’ll definitely want to give their coffee a try. And if you’re not a fan of hot drinks, they also have blended and iced coffee options that are perfect for warmer days.

One thing to note is that Bidwell Perk doesn’t have a huge selection of pastries, but the ones they do have are top-notch. I highly recommend the Orange Cranberry Scones, which is flaky and buttery with just the right amount of sweetness. And if you’re looking for something a little more substantial, they also have a few salads and sandwiches on the menu that are made with fresh ingredients and are a great option for a light lunch.

But what really sets Bidwell Perk apart from other cafes in Chico is the atmosphere. The café is cozy and inviting, with plenty of seating options for both individuals and groups. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the tea and coffee selection, and they always make great recommendations. And the best part? They have a small outdoor seating area that’s perfect for enjoying your drink on a sunny day.

Overall, I can’t say enough good things about Bidwell Perk. If you’re a tea or coffee lover looking for a great place to grab a cup and a bite to eat in Chico, this is the spot for you. Their unique monthly specials, delicious breakfast options, and cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit. So next time you’re in the area, be sure to swing by Bidwell Perk and see what all the fuss is about. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

What Does Bidwell Perk Offer For My Dog?

What sets Bidwell Perk apart from other coffee shops is its fantastic outdoor area for dogs.  They have several tables with new chairs outside where you can enjoy the fresh air and hang out with your dog. You can get water bowls with fresh water for your fur baby as well. They also have dog treats next to the cash register for all the four-leggers that come to Bidwell Perk. Overall, I can’t say enough good things about Bidwell Perk. If you’re a tea/coffee lover looking for a great place to grab a cup and a bite to eat in Chico, this is the spot for you to hang out with your dog.
